🌿 To take care of your skin, it is important to know your skin type first. Generally, skin is divided into three types: dry, oily and combination.

🧴 How to understand your skin type?

1️⃣ Dry Skin

  • The skin feels tight.
  • Itches or feels flaky.
  • Tends to crack or peel.
  • Without moisturizer, the skin looks rough.
👉 How to understand: If your skin feels tight and dry 20-30 minutes after washing your face, then you have dry skin.

2️⃣ Oily Skin

  • The face, especially the nose, forehead and chin, is oily.
  • Acne, blackheads and whiteheads are more common.
  • Makeup does not want to last.
👉 How to understand: If your skin becomes shiny shortly after washing your face or if there are oil stains on your handkerchief, then you have oily skin.

3️⃣ Combination Skin

  • The T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) is oily.
  • The cheeks or around the eyes are dry.
  • Sometimes acne occurs, sometimes dryness appears.
👉 How to understand: If some parts of the face are oily and some parts are dry, then it is combination skin.

🌿 Small tips: “Tissue test”

  1. Clean your face and dry it lightly.
  2. Do not apply anything for 30 minutes.
  3. Gently press a tissue paper on your face.

If there are no oil stains on the tissue → dry skin.
If there are more oil stains on the tissue → oily skin.
If there are stains on some parts of the tissue → combination skin.

🧴 Dry skin care:-

  • Use a mild face wash to prevent further drying of the skin.
  • Apply moisturizer regularly.
  • You can use olive oil, coconut oil or aloe vera gel.
  • Drink plenty of water.

🧴 Oily skin care:-

  • Use an oil-free face wash.
  • Scrub 2-3 days a week (to remove blackheads/whiteheads).
  • Using a toner will keep oil under control.
  • Avoid heavy creams.

🧴 Combination skin care:-

  • Use an oil-control face wash for the T-zone.
  • Apply a light moisturizer to the cheeks.
  • Follow a regular cleansing-toning-moisturizing (CTM) routine.

👉 Important for all skin types:

  • Using sunscreen.
  • Getting enough sleep.
  • Eat healthy foods.
